Meet Joey – A Brave Little Survivor Ready for His Forever Home .This sweet little soul is Joey, an 8 to 9-year-old Jack Russell Terrier with a heart of gold and a story that will touch yours. Joey was found in heartbreaking condition—emaciated, suffering from painful, infected ulcers, urine stains on his fur, and a mouth full of broken, rotten teeth. He looked so much older than his years, and his eyes held the weight of a hard life. But Joey is a fighter Since coming into care, he’s had the dental work he desperately needed (8 teeth removed!), he’s been neutered, treated for his infections, and his ulcers have completely healed. His coat is growing back slowly and more importantly, his spirit is shining through. It took a little time for Joey to learn what love feels like—being gently handled, given affection, feeling safe—but he got there. And now? He’s a happy, friendly little boy who is discovering the joys of life all over again thanks to his foster mammy Elaine & her canine crew. Joey may be a senior in years, but he’s young at heart and full of love to give. He truly is like a new dog now—healthy, happy, and ready to find the home he deserves.
